Niola Cancer Care Foundation, Nigeria’s first non-governmental organization dedicated to creating unmatched awareness for wellness and (specifically) colorectal cancer in Nigeria, conduct colorectal cancer screening for early detection, advocate for better treatment and support research for its cure.
The World Health organization reported that mortality rate of Nigerians to cancer is at a minimum of 70,000 patients a year, Nigeria has,
- No operational cancer policy, strategy or action plan
- No cancer primary prevention policies
- No Cancer screening, early detection, Cancer treatment and palliative care available in public health care system
Our Vision is to set up Colorectal Cancer Screening Centers in Nigeria, with capacity to screen up to 100,000 individuals yearly by 2030. Our Mission is to campaign for wellness and early detection through communication and engagement platforms, while leveraging solid partnership with our stakeholders and volunteersc
Niola Cancer Care Foundation became the first non governmental organisation from Africa to be represented in the Global Colon Cancer Association, USA. This is an awesome privilege and an opportunity to collaborate with other NGO’s and share critical knowledge in advancement of our campaign of colorectal cancer awareness and colorectal cancer prevention.
According to the GCCA, “Our objective is to initiate a worldwide effort and build momentum among countries, communities, healthcare, colon cancer survivors, fighters and family members, corporate sponsors, and grassroots organizations to raise awareness and funds for colon cancer”
GCCA is already working with experienced fundraising personnel to develop an international software platform and comprehensive infrastructure to support this global event.
